~ First I started with two, pretty vintage tablecloth prints of colorful fruits and flowers on a nice white background and yellow ric-rack around the hemline......

~ The skirt portion measures 12" and the overall dress measures 19" [ I make my clothes very generous to last a long time ... ]

~ Next , I gathered this skirt and have sewn it to a new all cotton long sleeved " carters" tee shirt that I have embelished with a hand-made yo-yo and a vintage button.......
~ This dress will look very cute for fall with the fruit patterns and long sleeves ..
